Sailor’s jumpers, classic jumpers and accessories for the whole family.
Description
Sailor’s jumpers, classic jumpers and accessories for the whole family.
In 1986, in the small, Breton town of Ploubalay, Dominique and Isabelle Josselin founded their craft workshop specialising in the manufacture of sailor’s jumpers. It was the smallest workshop of its kind in Brittany and in 1994 the Baie des Caps brand was born.
The couple instilled a special spirit into the Baie des Caps sailor’s jumper, from its manufacture to its sale. With their employees, they passionately revive the tradition of the sailor’s jumper in a region marked by culture and love for the sea. Baie des Caps (named after what is now known as the Emerald Coast) is located between Cancale and the Cap Fréhel peninsula.
In 2019, another couple joined them on their adventure, Lucie and Geoffroy de Pinieux, attracted by these woollen yarns where art and passion, tradition and modernity are intermingled, all in a family spirit. Today, the workshop continues to knit numerous products, to the great satisfaction of customers who like the quality of Baie des Caps sailor’s jumpers.
The shop is adjacent to the workshop and gives you a nice overview of the local production.
