Through my paintings (oil on canvas), I don’t seek to reflect an observed reality but rather a plastic equivalent.
Through my paintings (oil on canvas), I don’t seek to reflect an observed reality but rather a plastic equivalent.
I also aim to reveal, through a new graphic composition, a personal interpretation of a landscape, of a place. The composition of the image remains legible and figurative, but through the synthesis of forms and the stylisation of colours, the whole becomes an element of scenery.
The volumes are superimposed while respecting the perspective. The warm colours move forwards and the cold colours move back, causing the whole composition to vibrate with these small ‘reserves’ of orange-red background, depending on the painting’s lighting.
