From Rennes, the capital of Brittany, to the Emerald Coast, a scenic greenway winds its way past old watermills and lockkeeper houses. It follows the path of the Ille-et-Rance Canal, the oldest in Brittany, and then the beautiful Rance estuary. At the top, you’ll find the Eleven Locks of Hédé-Bazouges and an incredible hydraulic machine that powers the canal. A very easy route, full of hidden gems, and wonderfully immersive, right in the heart of a romantic and timeless Brittany.
