Description
For 100 years now, Gavottes® has been passionately passing on the know-how of the famous crêpe dentelle.
This biscuit was originally the result of a delicious mistake made by Marie-Catherine Cornic in 1886 when she forgot a crêpe on her crêpe maker. Rather than throwing it away, she rolled it up eight times, giving birth to a golden crêpe with a new, light crunch. It wasn’t until 1920 that this original gesture was reproduced on a large scale by Crêperies de Loc Maria in Quimper, Finistère.
This unique manufacturing process was developed by the Gavottes® teams in 1962
and has remained unchanged ever since.
Its recipe is made up of high-quality, simple ingredients made in France such as butter, flour and sugar. Try out the latest Gavottes® creations: chocolate hazelnut spread with crêpes dentelle slivers, the light lemon poppy seed cakes or the delicious gavottines, reworked chocolate cornflake cakes.
