Do you like hiking and nature? Lancieux is made for you. Follow the GR34 signs, head for the Tertre Corlieu conservation site and prepare to have your breath taken away!
On the customs path
The Chemin des douaniers, also known as the GR34, is a footpath that runs along the Breton coast, ideal for discovering the diversity of coastal landscapes in our beautiful region. It is extremely popular and has been voted France’s favourite GR footpath!
In the commune of Lancieux, the red and white markings guide you through the town, skirting the lively beach of Plage Saint-Sieu and the cliffs. It arrives at the heart of the conservation site of Tertre Corlieu, with its beautiful Plage des Briantais beach.
A nature conservation site
The Tertre Corlieu site has been protected and managed by the Conservatoire du Littoral since 1999. It is home to a wide variety of habitats: rocky cliffs, dunes, thickets and woodlands, which are home to orchid species, amphibians and passerines.
In the middle of this exceptional conservation site, take a break on the fine, sandy beach of Plage des Briantais. It is completely uncovered at low tide and opens onto the bay of Beaussais-sur-Mer and its polders.
